Your privacy is important to us here at CarPath, and we want to be clear on how the information you provide will be used.
Like most website operators, CarPath collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. CarPath’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how CarPath’s visitors use its website. From time to time, CarPath may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.
In order to sign up for a CarPath, we ask for some personally-identifying information including: name, zip code, phone number, and email address. We store this information along with your account on our servers. Each ad you create will contain some or all of this information, and this can be customized per ad. Since the purpose of posting an ad on CarPath is to have people contact you about the ad, understand that any information you provide will be shared with anyone that comes to view your ad.
Besides sharing your ad and associated personally-identifying information with the viewers of the site, we may provide such information to third parties that may be interested in buying your vehicle.
CarPath also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users.
